Konstantina Skalionta is a dance artist who lives and works in Lemesos since 2020. She studied in London at the Central School of Ballet (BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Performance, 2011, Choreography Prize 2011) and the London Contemporary Dance School (Master of Arts in Contemporary Dance, 2018).

The past five years, her choreographic research and practice, explores the themes of female identity and of body as landscape and visa versa, in dialogue with the dramaturg Rodia Vomvolou. She has developed her choreographic practice as part of research and educational programmes such as Micro and Macro Dramaturgies in Dance (Dance House Lemesos, Creative Europe), Moving the New 2022 & 2023 (Dance House Lemesos), Development Lab (Lyric Theatre), Artistic Residency 2015 (Dance House Lefkosia, and during artistic residencies at the International Centre of Choreography Dance4 (Nottingham), the NN Contemporary Gallery (Northampton) and the Egomio Cultural Centre.

Her works have been presented over the past decade as independent productions, in platforms, festivals, and exhibitions in Cyprus, the United Kingdom, and Italy, including the Summer Dance Festival, Cyprus Choreography Platform, Open House Festival, Ai Sogno de Corpo (IT), UK Young Artists City Take Over, Larnaca Biennale 2021, Danza..Sogna sulle rive del mare (IT), Resolution (UK), Swallowsfeet (UK), NO_body Festival, Women of Mass Destruction (UK), Surrey Dance Festival, and more.

Since 2022, she has been facilitating the program Improvisation into Performance, aiming to promote contemporary dance among adults of various body types and ages as a lived experience, with the body as the primary medium of exploration, expression, and creation
