Maria Κasapi is a choreographer in Cyprus. She studied Dance in University of Nicosia (BA, 4 years) she co-operated with choreographers such as Lia Charali, Ariana Economou , Alexis Vassiliou. As a choreographer and a performer she participated in the festivals: “No Body”, “Interspace”, ‘’Kipria’’, “Summer Festival” (2021, 2022), “Visibility”, at 19th,20th, 21th and 24th Contemporary Platform, Dance Waves and as a residency artist at Moving the New ‘Dance House Nicosia, Performance Lab- Open Up (Nimac), Dancers(Alive) residency of Dance House .
In 2022 she created the sideBside production team that organizes the Juxtapose Performance Festival in Cyprus (2022, 2023 and 2024). Also in 2024 created her dance space in Nicosia with Emily Cutler. She travel around the world to take workshops from different choreographers and dance styles, such as Greece, Arizona, Barcelona and Jamaica.
